How to request a HWID reset

When you need a reset, how to ask for one, what info to include, and roughly how long it takes.

Updated Jul 26, 2026· HWID & Keys

A HWID reset unlinks your account from your current hardware so you can use it on a different PC. Here's how to request one.

When you need a reset

  • Moved to a new PC or laptop
  • Reinstalled Windows
  • Replaced your motherboard, CPU, or main storage drive
  • Getting a "HWID mismatch" error on loader login

How to request

Open a support ticket.

Include the following in your message so we can process it in one go:

  • Your account username
  • The reason for the reset (new PC, Windows reinstall, motherboard swap, etc.)

Turnaround time

Most requests are processed within a few hours during our active hours. If your request has been sitting for over 24 hours with no response, ping the @developer role.

What happens after the reset

Once we approve:

  1. Your account is unlinked from the old hardware.
  2. Next launch locks your account to that machine.
  3. The old machine can no longer login to your account on the loader.

If you meant to keep both machines active, that's not possible on a single account, you will need to purchase another key from the Shop and create a new account for your second PC.

Note

Resets are approved case-by-case. We look at how recently you've reset and whether the it looks normal rather than account sharing. If a request is denied we'll tell you why and what to do next.
